Terms of Service

1. Definitions
"Service" refers to the StewardLedger software application and all related services provided through stewardledger.com and app.stewardledger.com.
"Customer" or "You" refers to the organization or individual who registers for and uses the Service.
"Agreement" refers to these Terms of Service and any other policies referenced herein.
2. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
- Have the authority to bind your organization to this Agreement
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
3. Subscription and Payments
3.1 Pricing
Current pricing is available at stewardledger.com/pricing. We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days' notice to existing customers.
3.2 Billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. Charges are non-refundable except as required by law.
3.3 Free Trial
New customers receive a 30-day free trial with full feature access. No credit card required during trial. Subscriptions begin after trial ends.
3.4 Payment Methods
We accept major credit/debit cards through Stripe. SEPA direct debit for annual plans.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Transmit malware or malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
- Use the Service to store illegal content
- Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
- Reverse engineer or decompile the software
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including all software, designs, text, graphics, and other materials, is owned by StewardLedger and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain all rights to your data. We do not claim ownership of any data you upload to the Service.
6. Data Protection
We process your data according to our Privacy Policy and Data Protection page. We are GDPR-compliant and take data security seriously.
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of data you upload to the Service.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STEWARDLEDGER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
8.1 By You
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
8.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
8.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your access to the Service ends. We retain your data for 90 days for recovery purposes, then permanently delete it.
9. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect.
Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
